Questions about HEIC metadata

Do iPhone HEIC photos contain location data?

Some HEIC photos can contain GPS, camera, timestamp, identifier, Exif or XMP metadata. ScrubMetadata reports only fields and containers found in the selected file.

What does a clean HEIC result prove?

A clean result requires the independent HEIF residual verifier to parse the processed file, find zero supported privacy-bearing residuals and report zero parser errors or unassessed structures. Otherwise the result remains review-required and is not released as verified clean.
