Professional subscriptions are processed through Paddle. Refund requests go to support@scrubmetadata.com.

Version refund-2026-09-19-v1 · Updated · V1 controlled-trial policy — owner approved

Subscriptions & Billing

ScrubMetadata's controlled launch offers Professional at USD 999/month + VAT where applicable. Access is application-gated: you apply at /apply, an admin reviews your business fit, and if approved you receive a time-limited invite to complete checkout.

All billing is managed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. Paddle handles payment processing, receipts, and applicable taxes. Your subscription starts on the date your payment is processed.

Your selected monthly or annual subscription renews automatically for the same billing interval unless canceled before renewal. Paddle shows the recurring price and applicable tax at checkout. A price change applies only through the notice and amendment process governing your subscription; a changed website price alone does not amend your accepted purchase.

14-Day First-Charge Request Window

For your first charge, you may ask ScrubMetadata to request a full refund from Paddle within 14 days. To request a refund:

  1. Email support@scrubmetadata.com within 14 days of the charge date
  2. The subject line "Refund Request" helps routing but is not required
  3. Include your account email or transaction reference so we can identify the purchase. Do not send card details

If Paddle approves the request, Paddle issues the refund to the original payment method; 5-10 business days is an estimate, not a guaranteed settlement time. The same first-charge request window applies to the annual plan. Paddle Buyer Terms and mandatory statutory rights continue to apply. This additional policy does not limit any mandatory statutory right or Paddle Buyer Terms. You can also use Paddle's buyer support and refund routes. A different subject line does not invalidate a request.

Cancellation

You may cancel through Paddle at any time. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current billing period; Paddle Buyer Terms and mandatory rights govern any refund or withdrawal. Export any records you need before paid access ends. Exit is operator-managed on request. A dated operator confirmation records deletion and any outstanding provider or backup retention; cancellation alone does not prove deletion.

Manage your subscription from Billing. Cancellation stops the applicable future renewal; it is not automatically a refund of a completed charge. This does not remove any mandatory withdrawal, refund, data-return or switching right.

Current Subscription Scope

The controlled launch offers the Professional subscription only. No add-on subscription is available for separate purchase, so the refund terms above apply to the Professional subscription charge.

After a Refund or Cancellation

A tax correction or partial refund does not by itself end paid access. An approved full service refund or chargeback can end paid access; ordinary cancellation follows its recorded effective date. A refund does not itself prove that future Paddle renewals have been canceled. Check the subscription status in Billing.

If the affected service ends because we cannot remedy a substantial service or DPA breach, or cannot provide a lawful alternative after a subprocessor or transfer objection, we will record the termination date, request cancellation of future renewals through Paddle, and request a refund for the unused prepaid service period from that date. The request will identify the service amount and any applicable tax adjustment. This additional supplier remedy is separate from ordinary period-end cancellation and does not limit a greater mandatory remedy. We will track the Paddle outcome and explain any unresolved amount; neither a request nor an email is confirmation of cancellation or payment.

  • A financial correction is separate from subscription cancellation and account deletion
  • Retention and deletion follow the operator-managed procedure; the dated confirmation identifies outstanding work and does not describe it as purged
  • Downloaded evidence remains under your control and subject to your own lawful retention and security obligations

Professional supports browser and local folder processing. Approved customer-controlled cloud integrations are not part of the current Professional offer. ScrubMetadata can receive minimized workflow evidence such as counts, categories, status, timestamps, and evidence hashes, but not raw file data through these supported processing paths. Support correspondence is separate: do not send raw customer files or raw metadata to support.

Pricing

Prices are as listed on the pricing page. All prices are in USD and exclude applicable taxes. Paddle calculates and collects applicable taxes based on your billing location. The USD 9,990 annual Professional plan is billed upfront and includes two months free compared with monthly billing (16.67%).
